1. General provisions
In accordance with the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 "Regulations on Distance Contracts", a consumer (a natural person) has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days of the day the product was received. The right of withdrawal does not apply to legal entities.
The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised if the product was made to the buyer's specifications or is clearly personalised (for example, with an individual engraving, inscription or a custom-adapted design).
2. Notifying us of a withdrawal
The withdrawal notice must be sent no later than 14 days from the day the product was received, either by filling in the form on this page or by sending an unambiguous statement to megijadesign@gmail.com quoting your order number. After the form is submitted, a confirmation and return instructions will be sent to your e-mail address. Withdrawal notices received after the 14-day period are not accepted.
3. Returning the product
The product must be sent back no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice was sent. The order number must be included with the parcel. Parcels sent cash-on-delivery, or without a prior withdrawal notice, are not accepted.
The product must be returned to the following address: Pērkona iela 12, Sigulda, Siguldas novads, LV-2150, Latvia.
The direct cost of returning the product (postal or courier services, packaging) is borne by the buyer. The buyer also bears the risk of damage to or loss of the product during return shipping, so we recommend sending it as a registered, insured and tracked parcel.
4. Condition of the product and diminished value
The Sigulda Autumn Globe is a handmade, fragile souvenir. The product must be returned unused, undamaged, complete and in its original packaging with all protective materials. The buyer is responsible for preserving the value of the product during the withdrawal period.
If the product has been used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, or is damaged, scratched, shows signs of wear, or is returned without its original packaging, the seller is entitled to reduce the refund in proportion to the diminished value of the product (in the case of significant damage – up to the full price of the product).
5. Refunds
After the returned product has been received and its condition checked, we refund the amount paid for the product and the original delivery cost, up to the cost of the cheapest delivery option offered, no later than 14 days later, using the same payment method you used for the purchase. The seller is entitled to withhold the refund until the product has been received back or proof of its dispatch has been provided. The refund may be reduced in accordance with section 4.
